Installation Process
This page gives details about process of installing our products.
Note: You should have .NET Framework 1.1 or 2.0 installed on you PC, otherwise our products will not work.
Installation steps
- If you have any previous version of the product, you should uninstall it (please refer to the "How to uninstall QWhale products"
section of this file).
- Run installation executable. It will create installation folder
(Program Files\QWhale\[Product Name]\ by default) and place shortcuts to demos and readme file there.
Installation in Visual Studio 2003 / Visual Studio 2005
- Run Visual Studio.
- Select Toolbox (through menu View | Toolbox)
- Right click on toolbox and select "Add/Remove items" ("Choose Items" in Visual Studio 2005)
item from popup menu.
- Press "Browse" button on ".NET Framework components" page and select dlls from installation
binary folder (Program Files\QWhale\[Product Name]\Bin\ by default)
Installation in Delphi 8.NET / Delphi 2005
- Run Delphi8.NET (Delphi 2005)
- Select "Component | Installed .NET Components" menu item
- Press "Select an Assembly" button on ".NET Components" page and select dlls from installation
binary folder (Program Files\QWhale\[Product Name]\Bin\ by default)
Once you install components on the toolbox, you can start using them in the applications.
